MP3 Normalizer overview

MP3 Normalizer improves the quality of MP3 files by amplifying quiet sections and decreasing the volume of loud files or passages automatically. It also smoothes sound peaks and minimizes clicks in MP3 tracks. Audio effects allow automatic silence trimming, as well as fade-in and fade-out for smoother playback of normalized files.

MP3 Normalizer can apply Peak or Loudness (EBU R128) normalization methods and amplify too quiet parts of audio with Automatic Volume Control. Target levels for both Peak and R128 methods; threshold for silence trim and duration of Fade-in and Fade-out audio effects are manageable.

To normalize your MP3 files, just drop them on the application icon or window. The application will let you know when volume adjustment is complete. MP3 Normalizer supports batch processing so you can process a single file or a whole tree of folders at one time.

This application reconverts mp3 files with a Gogo (after 3.0) converter and make them poor of quality. So, if you have mp3 files made with Fraunhofer IIS Producer PRO (the best mp3 encoder in the world), after the normalization with MP3 Normalizer, your files are normalized and reconverted with Gogo (after 3.0) encoder. The quality is totaly lost. Do not use this application if you don't want to lose sound quality.

Fantastic.... takes a bit of messing around ( A-B-ing the results) to figure out the best settings (for what it's worth, I "hear" a better result when I keep the sampling rate the same as the source rather than increasing it to say 44,1 kHz)... but overall a great program. I have used it for years and continue to do so. Thank you!!
